Beholding Becomes Becoming

Paul writes that we “beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image.” Mirrors don’t strain; they simply face the light. This message is an invitation to turn your face toward Jesus daily — and watch Him reshape your reactions, words and loves.

You will never reflect a Christ you rarely behold.

Three Mirrors For Daily Reflection

The mirror of the Word. Read one Gospel slowly, a paragraph a day. Ask two questions: what does this show me about Jesus, and what would change if I believed it?

The mirror of worship. Sing before you scroll. Five minutes of morning worship tunes the heart the way sunrise tunes the sky — gradually, then all at once.

The mirror of community. Christ’s face shines through His people. Stay in rooms where Jesus is loved, and His likeness will rub off on you.

Reflection Questions

Try five mornings of worship-before-phone and notice what changes in your patience by Friday.
Ask a trusted friend: “When am I most like Jesus?” Their answer will encourage — and direct — you.
Children, colleagues and neighbours read your life like a mirror. Invite one of them to church this month.
